Have you thought about learning to play Mah Jongg, but are not sure where to start? Then this is the class for you! This 7-week program prepares you with the knowledge and skills to get started playing this thought provoking, strategic, and social game now played worldwide. Katie Nunes, an experienced player and teacher, will start by explaining the very basics of the game such as the tile names and game terminology. As the rules become familiar, players will progress and practice, typically with a partner, and as strategies become familiar, players will ultimately play on their own. Of course the instructor will be guiding all of this practice. The course will finish with an evening reserved for game play only!
We provide all you need. Mah Jongg sets to use during class are provided and the yearly card issued by the National Mah Jongg League and needed by each player is supplied
for players to keep. (Yes, this is a thing! www.nationalmahjonggleague.org.) The instructor will give you helpful learning sheets as well.
