The U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills program was created to be the best beginning ice-skating program in the world. It is designed to serve the needs of both recreational and competitive skaters. The curriculum keeps skaters enthusiastic about learning from the time they begin lessons until the time they reach their goals. Each lesson will consist of 25 minutes of instruction as well as 25 minutes of "supervised" practice time.
Skates ($5) & Helmets ($2) available to rent on a weekly basis at the rink (cost is weekly)
Next Step Skating: Bridge Program
Session 4:Beginner OR Advanced:
Sundays: 12pm - 3/2-4/13
The Bridge Class at Norfolk Arena will focus on advancing your proficiency with basic skating skills. We will be focusing on stroking, forward crossovers, backward crossovers, turns, posture, and speed. Full ice will be used!

“Learn to play hockey” offers children the fundamental skills to gain a competitive edge while making the game fun. Players gain confidence, develop skills and gain knowledge to compete and enjoy the game at every age and skill level. Join a program that emphasizes sportsmanship, fun and fundamentals. Players enhance their skills through various group games and activities incorporated into each session. Full Hockey equipment is required.
