Kids have a blast while developing and improving computational thinking skills playing Zoombinis, an engaging and challenging logic puzzle game. The Zoombinis, small blue creatures each with distinct traits, need your help to escape the evil Bloats and safely travel to Zoombiniville. Students will face a series of 12 puzzles that increase in difficulty, and test and strengthen their logical thinking and pattern recognition skills. Each week, we’ll dive into the illustrated novel Pie in the Sky by Remy Lai - a hilarious and moving story about two brothers who secretly bake elaborate, forbidden cakes to survive moving to a brand-new country. Instead of just talking about the book, we’ll bring it to life! Students will transform a blank notebook into a personalized, artsy "Smash Book" using a mix of digital design, trendy stationery, and hands-on crafting. Over six weeks, students will design custom stickers, paint bakery mugs, sculpt air-dry clay "fake bakes," and create bedroom decor banners.
