2025 KP Youth Field Hockey Fall Commonwealth League - Grades 1 & 2 All Towns, all skills welcome!Teams: Grades 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 & 7/8 FALL 2025 Games on Saturdays 9/6 - 11/1 With Patricia Zini, Field Hockey CoordinatorJoin KP Youth Field Hockey as we participate in our 16th season in the Commonwealth Field Hockey League. Our program is designed for girls in the tri-town area to develop fundamental field hockey skills and knowledge while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and love of the game. Become a part of the growing KP Youth Field Hockey community and play in a supportive, yet competitive environment. The season consists of 1-2 practices per week and 8 Saturday games. Participating in this league provides the amazing opportunity for girls to compete with girls in similar youth programs in surrounding towns. Games held at KP High School or Forekicks and practices will be at Freeman Kennedy School in Norfolk. Practices will be on Mondays and Wednesdays for 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8 teams. Grades 1/2 practice on Wednesday only.If your player attends at least 50% of their team’s practices and plays in at least 6 of the 8 games you will receive a $150 credit at the end of the season to be used towards KPYFH clinics or leagues. This credit can be used for the 2026 season if you desire, so registering for KP Youth Field Hockey for this fall, can mean 2 seasons for free! Along with the credit, KP Youth Field Hockey players who participate in the Fall 2025 season will receive 25% off all Norfolk Recreation field hockey clinics during the 2025-2026 school year. Children will learn about teamwork and fair play while having fun developing running and passing skills all through the great game of football! The kids will be placed on teams in three divisions based upon the grade their grade in the fall, K/1, 3/2, 4-6.Games will be played weekly, mostly on Saturday mornings with the possibility of weekday night games starting September 13th. The season will consist of 8 games (including playoffs) which will be determined based upon the number of teams in each division, all play will finish by November 1st at the latest. Teams will be formed through a draft in August. A skills evaluation night may be scheduled prior to the draft to help us evaluate new and returning players. The schedule will include at least one practice (determined by team consensus) and one/two games each week. Volunteer parent coaches are needed for a successful season so please consider it and let us know in your registration.Fees include Jersey, Shorts and flags. Parents are responsible for providing a mouth guard (required). Power Kids Run Club - PKRC - Coed 5K Club Discover Running Ages 3-6Preschoolers, discover the joy of running while building confidence! We will focus on soccer basics including striking a stationary ball and moving balls during directional play. Children and parents also get the opportunity to share those first unforgettable, goal scoring moments! Children will be encouraged to move from parent-supported participation to active, independent play.
